Aloha Kauaʻi,
The 2024 Primary Election results were incredibly encouraging and humbling. I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who showed up and voted! Thanks to your support, we’re in a strong position heading into the General Election on November 5th.
I want to especially thank the 4,784 voters who successfully cast their vote for me! With your help, I placed 9th in the race, and while I didn’t crack the top 8, my overall percentage of support has grown—from 3.5% in the 2022 Primary, in my first Council race, to 4.7% this year. This progress is a testament to the strength of our movement, and it’s humbling to be right behind incumbents and well-established names like Arryl Kaneshiro. Because of you, I’m a serious contender for one of the top 7 seats in November!
Let’s Turn Up the Heat for the General Election
If we’re going to win this November, we need to push hard to get the word out! Our next big goal is to fundraise for island-wide mailers, market our campaign, and turn out the vote. I need your help to reach registered voters who may not know me yet.
Here’s how you can help:
Donate: Contribution checks can be written to “Friends of Fern” and mailed to PO Box 1996 Kapaa, HI 96746. You can also donate online right now at votefern.com.
Get Your Gear: New Vote Fern shirts are on order and will be available for $25 soon! 💜 If you didn’t get a bumper sticker yet, reach out and we’ll make sure to connect with you.
Sign-Waving Events: We’re organizing sign-waving events in September and October! Keep an eye out for dates and get ready to join us as we spread the word and energize the community.
Preparing for November
Make sure you and your ‘ohana are ready for the General Election. You’ll receive your ballot in the mail around mid-October. If you need to register or update your address, you can do it online in just a couple of minutes at olvr.hawaii.gov.
Mahalo nui for your unwavering support. Let’s keep this momentum going and make sure our voices are heard loud and clear in November!
With gratitude,
Fern Holland
